System Integration
The MLXperts consultants have a proven track record in many integration projects and have 15+ years relevant experience.

Methodology
For system integration projects MLXperts uses the Modular Structured Approach (MSA) methodology which  consists of the following steps:

  • System integration definition study
  • Prototype (optional)
  • Functional specifications
  • Development/configuration of the interfaces
  • Testing
  • Documentation
  • Maintenance

Definition study
The purpose of the system integration definition study is to provide insight of the system configuration, to verify the feasibility and to
provide an indication of the required effort.

First a high level analysis is conducted to determine and describe the required system configuration i.e. a system overview, identification
of system components, identification of the dataflows at the entitity level and the identification of the required interfaces between the
system components.

Next relevant available reference documentation is collected and a global feasibilty check is made with regards to connectivity,
data import, data export facilitities, API's and mapping.

The definition study also contains a projection of an AIM based integration solution for the identified specific system configuration.

Finally the definition study contains an estimate of the required AIM adapters and effort for the configuration and development of the
required interfaces.

Based on the information above the end product is a document that provides a blueprint of the system integration.

Implementation
Since the the methodology is based on the modular construction of AIM this will yield a top down approach and division of the total
integration issue into several smaller parts (e.g. source adapter, mapping, transformation, target adapter). This modular approach
yields a fased system integration approach that simplifies both the analysis/specification process and the development of the interfaces.

A customer can opt in for a proof of concept in which protypes of (parts of) one or more interfaces will be developed.

Based on a detailed follow up analysis, in cooperation with the customer, consultants and providers of relevant third party systems,
the functional specifications will be produced. These specifications describe the data mapping and the transformations (business logic).

Finally MLXperts provide the development, configuration, installation, testing of the AIM based interfaces, documentation and
maintenance of the interfaces.
